Idle Creek Golf Course first opened for play in 1996. The course was designed by Jack Keidel and Rick Jenkins.
Idle Creek Golf Course was cut out of the forest and is surrounded by a residential housing track. This course features a front nine that has rolling fairways, which are very tight and require accuracy and precise ball placement. The back nine holes feature somewhat flat and wide open fairways. Water hazards and sand bunkers come into play on several holes.

The fairways and greens are usually in very good condition. There are several quirky holes on the front nine, but the back nine is a solid layout. The bar/restaurant is not open on Sundays. They have a great special on Mondays with golf, cart, and lunch for under $25.
